AND THEN I REMEMBERED THE VISION OF A NUN BEDRIDDEN.

The german blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, July 12, 1820, she said to the writer Brentano:

"I had a vision of the holy Emperor Henry . I saw him at night kneeling alone at the foot of the main altar in a great and beautiful church . . . and I saw the Blessed Virgin coming down all alone. She laid on the altar a red cloth covered with white linen. She placed a book inlaid with precious stones. She lit the candles and the perpetual lamp . . .

Then came down the Saviour Himself clad in priestly vestments. He was carrying the chalice and the veil. Two Angels were serving Him and two more were following . . . His chasuble was a full and heavy mantle in which red and white could be seen in transparency, and gleaming with jewels . . .

Although there was no altar bell, the cruets were there. The wine was red as blood, and there was also some water. The Mass was short. The Gospel of St. John was not read at the end. When the Mass has ended, Mary came up to Henry , and she extended her right hand towards him, saying that it was in recognition of his purity. Then, she urged him not to falter. Thereupon I saw an angel, and he touched the sinew of his hip, like Jacob. He  was in great pain, and from that day on, he walked with a limp . . . "

INFO
+ This Henry, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, is HENRY II (May 6, 973 - July 13, 1024), also known to as Saint Henry, Obl.S.B.,or HENRY THE LAME, was Holy Roman Emperor from 1014 until his death in 1024. The last member of the Ottonian dynasty of Emperors, Henry II succeed to the German throne following the sudden death of his second-cousin Emperor Otto III in 1002.

+He was canonized by Pope Eugenius III, more than 100 years after his death, in response to church-inspired legends. He was, in fact, far from saintly, but there is some truth in the legends concerning his religious character. Together with Henry III, he was the great architect of cooperation between church and state, following a policy inaugurated by Charlemagne and promoted by Otto I the Great (Holy Roman emperor, 962–973). His canonization is sometimes justified on the grounds that he was a great representative of the medieval German priestly kings.

+The later ecclesiastical legends have ascribed ascetic traits to this ruler, some of which certainly cannot withstand serious criticism. For instance, the highly varied theme of his virgin marriage to Cunegond has certainly no basis in fact.

+Henry II did, however, led three expeditions into Italy to ensure imperial dominion over the peninsula: twice to surprises successionist revolts and a once to challenge the Byzantine Empire for dominance over southern Italy.

+ Just appointed, the Pope Benedict VIII was expelled from Rome by the family of CRESCENTII, who put in place the antipope Gregory VI. Year and a half later, in 1014, Benedict VIII was restored to the papacy by King Henry II of Saxony who favor reform of the Church opted for Benedict to being more prone to it.

+On February 14, 1014, Pope Benedict VIII crowned Henry II as Holy Roman Emperor in St. Peter's Basilica.

+The ascendancy of the Pope Benedict VIII ( TUSCULANI family ) marked the fall of the rival CRESCENTII family of Rome, which had come to dominate the papacy in the latter half of the 10th century. Benedict’s predecessor, Sergius IV, was the choice of the CRESCENTII, and Benedict ousted another of their candidates when he became pope.

+Benedict VIII  was of the noble family of the counts of Tusculum (son of Gregory, Count of Tusculum, and brother of future Pope John XIX), descended from Theophylact, Count of Tusculum, just as was his predecessor Pope Benedict VI (973–974).

+In Benedict VIII's pontificate the SARACENS (or muslims) renewed their attacks on the southern coasts of Italy. They also burned Pavia and effected a settlement in Sardinia. The Normans also then began to settle in Italy. The Pope promoted peace in Italy by allying himself with the Normans, orchestrating the defeat of the Saracens in Sardinia and subjugating the Crescentii. In 1022, he held a synod at Pavia with the Emperor to restrain simony and incontinence of the clergy.

The EMIRATE OF SICILY was an Islamic state on the island of Sicily (in Southern Italy), which existed from 965 to 1072. Its capital was Palermo.

Muslims, who first invaded in 652 AD, seized control of the entire island from the Byzantine Empire in 965. Despite the invaders' Arabic language and Islamic faith, an Arab-Byzantine culture developed, retaining the Christian faith and Byzantine Greek language. The Emirate was reconquered by Christian Norman mercenaries under Roger I of Sicily who founded the County of Sicily in 1071.

+Benedict VIII restored papal authority in the Campagna and in Roman Tuscany by force of arms; he defeated the SARACENS’ (or Muslims) attack on northern Italy (1016–17); and he encouraged the Norman freebooters in their attacks on BYZANTINE power in the south. Benedict also strove for ecclesiastical reform. A friend of St. Odilo, abbot of Cluny, Fr., Benedict supported the monastic reform movement led there by the Benedictine monks.

+Henry II succeeded in persuading Pope Benedict VIII to include the Filioque to the Nicene Creed, stating that the Holy Spirit emanated from both God the Father and God the Son. Together with papal primacy, differences over this doctrine have were among the primary causes of schism between the Western and Eastern churches in 1054.

COMMENT

+ This is the story of a pope and a king against the Crescent, the Muslim crescent and the triple crescent of the migthy antipope Family Crescentii.

+ And it is also the story of the regeneration of the Catholic Church.

+ This seems to be the same story as Nostradamus prophesies for a powerful king and a Pope :

To fight against Muslims and rehabilitation of the Catholic Church and the Papacy. Like this:

01-  THE POWERFUL HENRY.
"No other after so loved, feared & dreaded"
  Century 6 - quatrain 70. Old French:
Au chef du monde le grand Chyren sera,(1)
Plus outre apres ayme, crainct, redouté:
Son bruict et loz les cieux surpassera,
Et du seul tiltre vigueur fort contenté.

Century 6 - quatrain 70. Possible English Traslation:
Chief of the world the great HENRYC will be, (1)
No other after so loved, feared & dreaded:
His fame and praise will go beyond the heavens,
And with the sole title of mighty will he be quite satisfied.

02- .... KING OF OLD FRENCH ROYAL FAMILY
"Turning the Church to its pristine pre-eminence."

Century 5 - quatrain 74. Old French:
De sang Troyen naistra coeur Germanique(2)
Qui deviendra en si haute puissance:
Hors chassera gent estrange Arabique,
Tournant l'Eglise en pristine preeminence.

Century 5 - quatrain 74. Possible English Traslation:
Of Trojan blood will be born Germanic heart(2)
Will become very high power:
Drive out the people strange Arabian
Turning the Church to its pristine pre-eminence.

INFO: (1) CHYREN Perhaps this is the anagram of Henry, written in Old French: "Henryc".

(2) TROJAN BLOOD He is a member of the House of France and he is the heir to the throne of France by origin (Merovingian Bloodline): Is a reference to the legend that the first Frankish kings were descended from Francus, son of King Priam of Troy. The Merovingians were the first kings of the Franks.

OTHER PROPHECIES ABOUT THE RISE OF A GREAT CHRISTIAN MONARCH

Monk Adso (10th Century): "Some of our teachers say that a King of the Franks will possess the entire Roman Empire. He will be the greatest and last of all Monarchs. After having wisely governed his kingdom, he will go into Jerusalem and will lay his sceptre and his crown upon the Mount of Olives. Immediately afterwards, Antichrist will come."

David Poreaus (17th Century): "The Great Monarch will be of French descent, large forehead, large dark eyes, light brown wavy hair, and an eagle nose. He will crush the enemies of the Pope and will conquer the East."
St. Francis of Paola (15th Century) "By the grace of the Almighty, the great Monarch will annihilate heretics and unbelievers. He will have a great army, and angels will fight at his side. He will be like the sun among the stars. His influence will spread over the whole earth. All in all, there will be on earth twelve Kings, one Emperor, one Pope, and a few Princes. They will all lead holy lives."

St. Augustine, 5th Century:" A Frankish King will one day rule over the entire Roman Empire."

BUT ......

There is an unexpected thing in the dream of the blessed nun bedridden, this note:
"The Mass was short. The Gospel of St. John was not read at the end."

+The Gospel read at the end of the Mass is a late addition. Originally (up to S XII more or less) the service ended with the words "Ite missa est" are still used. Prayer "Placeat tibi", the blessing and the Gospel are all private devotions end have been gradually adopted in the liturgical service. In the Middle Ages had a special devotion to the beginning of the Gospel of St. John (I, 1-14).

Ancient custom is considered the first paragraphs of a book as an expression of the whole book. For example, in the breviary if for any reason you could not read the whole book in the reading of Sacred Scripture, recited at least one of the lessons the first few sentences later adding a "et Reliqua" (and the rest) .

The prologue of San Juan has been regarded since antiquity with special veneration in the Middle Ages it was used as a vehicle of blessing. So people use sacred articles blessed, like they were worth reading the mysterious words of Saint John against the evils spiritual and temporal.

If we add the confidence they had in the sacred text against storms, once we understand the insistence of calling the faithful to be read after the end of Mass as if it were a blessing.

Abolition of the last gospel:
Definitive indication of the end of evolutionary curve of the last gospel what is in the "Ordo Sancti Sabbati" of 1951 for Mass of the day and in the first elimination final decree the Liturgical Reform Commission gave in 1964 and entered into force on March 7, 65.

In the Missal of Paul VI, 1969 has been finally repealed.

+So why is not the gospel reading in the nun's dream bedridden?
+Why is not this necessary?
+Is it a vision of the future or the past?
